From Organizers

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 16th Annual Meeting of Japan Society for Molecular Science, Yokohama, held from September 19 (Mon.) to 22 (Thur.), 2022. The Annual Meeting of Japan Society for Molecular Science is the most important meeting of the society. Every year many students and researchers participate in the meeting to present their research and to engage in scientific discussion for understanding various phenomena involving molecules in various “fields”, such as gas phase, liquid phase, solid phase, and interfaces, from the viewpoints of experiments and/or theoretical calculations. However, due to the COVID-19, the 14th Annual Meeting of Japan Society for Molecular Science in 2020 was unavoidably cancelled, and the 15th Annual Meeting in 2021 was held in an online format. Since it is essentially important to encourage exchanging their research information through the latest scientific discoveries and ideas, we wish that this 16th Annual Meeting can be held face-to-face while taking measures against infection.

The Yagami Campus is conveniently located between Tokyo and Yokohama, and in particular, the Yokohama Bay Area is a rapidly developing and attractive quarter, while cherishing the historical buildings since the opening of the harbor. Note that it takes a 12-minute walk from the nearest station, Hiyoshi Station on the Tokyu-Toyoko Line. We sincerely hope that everyone will benefit by walking exercise to visit the venue and enjoy exchanging research information and deepening wisdom of molecular science for the four days.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the conference.
