The 15th Annual Meeting of Japan Society for Molecular Science

From Organizers

It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 15th Annual Meeting of Japan Society for Molecular Science, Sapporo, held from September 18 (Sat) to 21 (Tue), 2021. The Annual Meeting of Japan Society for Molecular Science is one of the most important meetings of the society. More than one thousand people attend the meeting every year to present their research and engage in active discussions in order to understand various phenomena involving molecules in various environments, such as gas phase, liquid phase, solid phase, and interfaces, based on experiments and theoretical calculations. The 14th Annual Meeting of Japan Society for Molecular Science was unavoidably cancelled due to the unprecedented COVID19, but this year, after more than a year of experience, we are preparing to hold the meeting on site at the Sapporo campus of Hokkaido University, leaving room for an online format in some cases.

The Sapporo Campus of Hokkaido University is easily accessible by public transportation. It takes only 40 minutes from New Chitose Airport to JR Sapporo Station by rapid train, and the Sapporo Campus is a 7-minute walk from Sapporo Station. To the north of JR Sapporo Station is an area with a student town atmosphere surrounding Hokkaido University, and to the south is a bustling town. The weather in Sapporo is already a little cool and pleasant in mid-September.

We are looking forward to seeing many of you at the conference.

Tetsuya Taketsugu, Chairperson
Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Hokkaido University
