Diels-Alder反応は環化付加反応として有機化学における重要な反応の1つである。この反応のメカニズムについての研究は数多くなされてはいるが、まだ正確にはわかっていない部分がある。そこで、我々はこのDiels-Alder反応の1つであるブタジエンとエチレンの環化反応機構におよぼす置換基効果を密度汎関数であるB3LYP、UB3LYP、基底関数6-31G*を用いて解析を行なった。
