A ratio of N-H/N-D bond dissociation was measured for UV photolysis of vibrationally excited NHD2 and NH2D. For NHD2 in the N-H stretching state (5νN-H), N-H bond dissociation occurs with ca. 5 times higher efficiency than N-D dissociation. Whereas, excitation to the N-D stretching state (5νN-D) of NH2D leads to preferential N-D bond dissociation with ca. 1. 6 times higher efficiency.
